OddCameras.com                         The Braun Paxette II

The Braun Paxette II series started in 1952. While the series I cameras from 1951 had fixed lenses, the ones of the series II can be interchanged. The right window on the top is a finder, the second is not a rangefinder, it's an extinction meter. The camera is very small for a camera with leaf shutter and interchangeable lenses.

Seen from above. The first series II cameras had a winding knob, this one already has a kind of lever. The dented wheel sets the numbering after film loading.
